Each method requires individual conditions and features. A bush grown from seeds begins to bear fruit in about the fifth year. For this, only fresh seeds are needed. It is advisable to plant them in early May. After collecting the fruits, seeds are taken out of them, washed and dried. Next, wrap in paper and leave at room temperature.
At the beginning of winter, seeds can be prepared for planting. They need to be put in water for 3 days, changing it once a day. After that, they are placed in a nylon cloth and deepened in a box with sand, before that it needs to be moistened.
For about a month, the container should stand at room temperature, approximately + 20 ° C. Sand should be regularly moistened.
Once every 7 days, the tissue with seeds is removed and washed with water, then removed and aired for about 5 minutes. After that, it is wrapped again, washed and buried. In January, the box must be kept in the refrigerator for about a month, or you can wrap it in cloth and bury it in snow. In February, the tank is taken out and kept at room temperature.
After about 2 months, the seeds can be planted. It is better to first sow in boxes with soil (for this, mix one part of sand with humus) at a distance of 1 cm from each other. Buried and covered with paper. Sprouts germinate after 2 weeks. Now the box is placed in a sunny place, for example, near the window, but it is better to seal the glass so that direct rays do not fall on the plants. After the appearance of 3-4 leaves, they are transplanted into the open ground at a distance of 5 cm from each other. Water and cover with paper.
It is most convenient to propagate lemongrass with a shoot. Since there are a lot of young shoots around the plant on which the buds are located. They must be separated from the bush and planted in a permanent place. In the south, this should be done at the end of October. And in the north it is best in early March. To propagate the vine by root cuttings with a length of 10 cm and sleeping buds, its parts are separated from the root. To prevent the root system from drying out, it is covered with moist earth or covered with a damp cloth. After this, the cuttings are planted on the bed and covered with fertile soil about 2 cm. A year later, in the spring, the cuttings are planted in a permanent place.1- biennial wood; 2- removal of the lower leaves; 3-place cut of the cuttings; 4- green shoot; 5-place cut of the cuttings; 6- removal of the lower leaves

In April, 20-30 grams of nitrate can be added to the soil. In summer it is recommended to feed every 2 weeks with liquid fertilizer, for example, chicken droppings in a ratio of 1:10 to water.
The plant begins to bloom in the fourth year of life, and after another 2 years, active fruiting occurs. Schisandra loves wet weather, so it is recommended to spray it with warm water in the heat.
Adult bushes on hot days must be watered at the rate of about 5 buckets per plant. For normal life, lemongrass requires support, since without it it grows in wild thickets and does not bear fruit.
Also in the second year of life, you need to trim it, it is better to do it at the end of November. This implies the removal of weak, dry branches.
